Memorial Day weekend is full of great food and relaxation with loved ones. When you have extra time to sit around and eat endless amounts of delicious foods, it can be hard to resist the temptations. Here are some tips to keep your health and fitness in mind for the holiday weekend.
Healthy Grilling Tips:
Choose Healthy Food at the grill. I love making Kabobs and include more veggies on your kebab like asparagus, zucchini, peppers, onions, and mushrooms.Choose meats like marbled steak, chicken breast, salmon, tuna, or shrimp. Be sure to cook your meats thoroughly.Don’t leave food out for more than 2 hours – if it’s warmer (especially 90 degrees+) limit exposure to an hour.

Water and your Ketones – Remember to stay hydrated and take your electrolytes and supplements! Consuming adequate water will help keep you feeling fuller and avoiding dehydration. Going to a Get together?
Be the one who brings a healthy dish – If you’re going to a party or cookout, you already know there will be plenty of yummy options that you’re going to *try* to avoid so why not make sure there is at least 1 “healthified” recipe at the party? Balance it out:
Even though it is a holiday, still try to balance the amount of macros your doing to stay on tract.
Get at least 30 minutes of exercise in early or at least get it scheduled, so you get it done. Early is better before the day get crazy!
